Thanksgiving day 4 - Genesis 2:7-

'And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. '

What am I thankful for today?

I am thankful for the life that God gave to Adam and He gave to me.  Now to start with, I am
talking about regular life where I breathe and continue to live.  God took a chance on me and
I failed Him.  I failed Him MISERABLY!  Did you read that last sentence?  God gave me life even
though He knew I would fail Him.

Now God could have just stopped there and let me live until I die and then let me burn in Hell
apart from Him for eternity.  That is what I deserve.  This common grace is more than I deserve.
It is more than you deserve too.  Now, I am not judging you unless you count me knowing that you
are not perfect.  That is God's standard for us because He is Holy, we are called to be Holy.

We can't do that and God knows that.  He provided Jesus as a complete sacrifice for us.
There is a problem with that however.  This is something that amazes me.  We did not run to God when
this was offered to us.  We as humans run AWAY from God.  God could just say He has had enough
rejection and destroy us.  Boy, am I glad He didn't do that!

The gospel is simple.  God provides grace, we respond in faith and salvation is the result.
God even helps us with the responding in faith.  He loves us that much.

If you don't know Him and would like to be introduced to Him, I would be honored to do that.

My second thing I am thankful for is life.  BUT, this life is eternal.  It does not even begin when
I die.  It started when I believed on Jesus and repented and asked Him to save me.

And yes it is just that simple if you are honest with God.
